IBAO hits the road for regional meetings
The events will tackle topics that include the association’s future, auto reform and changing consumer needs
The events will take place in 13 cities, which include Toronto, Ottawa, St. Catharines and London, between April 10 and April 13.
“One of the exciting things this year is the ability for members to comment on the future of the IBAO,” said Colin Simpson, CEO of the IBAO. “We look forward to regional meetings where we can connect with members to hear what’s on their mind, and determine how we can best support them going forward.”
The meetings will also tackle issues that are currently affecting the industry. “Between driverless cars, auto reform, technology and changing consumer needs, there are many developments we want to get in front of our membership with,” said Simpson.
The event in Toronto on April 10 will include a free morning of continuing education activities accredited by Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) and courtesy of Travelers Canada.
Dr. Karyn Gordon, founder of DK Leadership, will discuss finding insurance talent within the next generation and Darrell Keezer, CEO of Candybox, will discuss digital marketing in the broker channel.
“Staying relevant in a changing insurance landscape takes work,” said Lucy Hathaway, vice president of sales and distribution at Travelers Canada. “Attracting and retaining top talent and keeping pace with digital opportunities and emerging technologies that are changing consumer needs and expectations are two of the biggest challenges facing both insurers and brokerages.”
All regional meetings organized by the IBAO are free and accredited by RIBO. More information about the events can be found on IBAO’s website.
