Burns & Wilcox Canada to exclusively distribute Node International’s cyber liability coverage

The policy is meant for brokers’ small to medium-sized business clients

Burns & Wilcox Canada has entered into an agreement with London, U.K.-based Node International to be the sole wholesaler of Node’s cyber liability insurance.

Node is an offshoot of Charles Taylor PLC that is known for offering policies that include both insurance and cybersecurity measures.

The policy that Burns & Wilcox Canada is making available to brokers is designed for small to medium-sized business clients. It includes an application process that will demonstrate the vulnerabilities of a client’s IT system and then provide a quote. Node provides policyholders with constant monitoring of their systems and assistance in fixing issues that may open up a company to a cyber attack.

“This is service rarely seen in the small to mid-sized space,” said David Derigiotis, corporate vice president and director of the Professional Liability Centre of Excellence at Burns & Wilcox, in a statement. “Adding the expertise of Node International to our highly-specialized group will not only provide more security, but peace-of-mind for our partners and their clients.”
