Allianz GCS appoints three leaders

The appointments affect the specialist corporate insurer's cyber, engineering and programs lines of business

Specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty named three new leaders within the engineering, cyber and programs lines of business.

Tim Cook, who has been with the company for over 17 years, was announced as the head of engineering in North America; he will be responsible for partnering with brokers to drive new opportunities and growth. Prior to this role, he served as head of engineering for Allianz’s regional unit in London, U.K.

As well, Jenny Soubra was appointed as head of cyber and specialty professional indemnity (CPI) for the United States. With nearly 20 years of financial lines underwriting experience, she will set strategy and lead a team of U.S. underwriters focused on cyber and specialty errors and omissions risks. Most recently, Soubra was the national practice leader for the CPI team.

Lastly, Tobel Thomas was promoted to programs team leader in the western U.S., where he will be responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies. He will also lead a team of underwriters in generating new and renewal business. Programs business at Allianz involves groups of similar clients in search of differentiated products and services. He was previously at Samsung Fire & Marine where he established and built the northwest U.S. business.
